The aim of our partnership is to create
a connection between students from different European countries. As
well as learning about their peers' life, children are going to
improve both their competence in English and their use of ICT tools.
We want to motivate our students and let them experience real
communication in the foreign language.
Purpose:
- to improve speaking and
reading skills in the foreign language;
- to make children aware of the
differences between European cultures;
- to practice the use of ICT
tools.
Procedure:
- September/October: students prepare their ID cards using Power Point and a video with
their presentation. The material will be shared on Dropbox;
- November/December: students exchange
Christmas cards and produce a video with a traditional Christmas song
that will be shared on a common blog;
- January/February: students take
pictures of their town and publish them on the blog with a short
description;
- March/April: sharing of traditional
recipes and pictures on the blog;
- May/June: traditional fairy tales
exchanged via videos (shared in dropbox).
Expected results:
- curiosity and
interest towards other cultures;
- improved ICT skills;
- a blog to share
material and comment on each other's activities;
- a shared folder in
Dropbox where each school can upload material;
- a poster with the
postcards.
